About Book a Doctor
Where does the doctor information come from?
Registration and specialist status are checked against the official registers, such as the Medical Council’s; hours, qualifications and contacts come from hospital and clinic websites, government platforms such as the Primary Care Directory, and other public records, each with its source and check date.
How are the lists ordered?
By English name. Order is never decided by ratings, views or payment, and patient reviews are not published.
Does Book a Doctor book appointments for me?
No. It helps you find a suitable doctor and how to contact them; you confirm the appointment with the clinic.
Does it give a diagnosis?
No. It helps you find a doctor and organise information, and does not diagnose or advise on treatment; in an emergency, call 999 or go to A&E.
