How much are health check plans at each hospital?
The table lists the general health check plans of the 12 Hong Kong private hospitals and medical centres this site checked, showing for each the most basic and the most comprehensive plan. It is not all institutions in Hong Kong and does not include tests aimed at a single item (for example heart or breast); plans for men or women only are listed only when they include a lipid or blood sugar test. Matilda International Hospital's plans are the Vital series of Matilda Medical Centre (Central).
Compiled by this site: the most basic plans in the table cost about HK$1,160 to HK$9,060; among the 11 institutions listing more than one plan, the most comprehensive plans cost about HK$8,280 to HK$22,300; plans with similar names include different items.
How this list was put together: an institution is listed when it publishes this fee on its own website and this site has checked the figures against that fee schedule. The rows are in a fixed order, not in order of price; this site does not recommend any institution, the order says nothing about quality, and the list is not every institution in Hong Kong.

How do I compare health checks at different hospitals?
Plans at similar prices can include very different items. When comparing, look item by item: whether a doctor's consultation and explanation of the report are included, the blood tests, imaging tests (for example X-ray and ultrasound), electrocardiogram-type tests, and the differences between men's and women's plans.
For fees for individual tests, see ultrasound, heart tests, CT and MRI.
What should I ask before booking?
Which tests does the plan include? Is a doctor's consultation and explanation of the report included?
Until when is the promotional price valid? Is the price the same on weekdays and weekends?
If the check finds a problem, how are the follow-up consultation and tests charged?
Do medical insurance or company benefits apply?
Frequently asked questions
Is a more expensive health check better?
Compiled by Book a Doctor: plans differ in price and in the tests they include, for example whether imaging or heart tests are included; when comparing, it is better to look item by item, not only at the price.
Why do men's and women's health check prices differ?
Compiled by Book a Doctor: some hospitals price men's and women's plans separately, and the items also differ, for example gynaecological or prostate tests; ask the institution about the differences before booking.
Do promotional prices have a deadline?
Some prices in the table are promotional prices, for example those stated by St. Teresa's Hospital and CUHK Medical Centre; ask how long they are valid before booking.
