How much are the 24-hour outpatient consultation fees at each private hospital?

The table below lists the consultation fees of the 24-hour or urgent care outpatient clinics published on the websites of the 9 Hong Kong private hospitals checked by this site, not every hospital in Hong Kong; fees vary by time of day.

Compiled by this site: the weekday daytime consultation fee is about HK$280 to HK$1,200, and the late-night fee about HK$430 to HK$1,500.

How this list was put together: an institution is listed when it publishes this fee on its own website and this site has checked the figures against that fee schedule. The rows are in a fixed order, not in order of price; this site does not recommend any institution, the order says nothing about quality, and the list is not every institution in Hong Kong.

Frequently asked questions

Are private hospital 24-hour outpatient clinics the same as Accident and Emergency Departments?

Names and scope of services differ; for example, CUHK Medical Centre has an Emergency Medicine Centre (outpatient and emergency services), and Hong Kong Adventist Hospital – Stubbs Road has a 24/7 Urgent Care Clinic. In a critical emergency, call 999 or go to an Accident and Emergency Department.

Does the consultation fee include medicines?

Generally not, and some hospitals state that the fee is for the consultation only; the daytime general outpatient consultation fee at HKBH East Kowloon Medical Centre includes 3 days' supply of up to 4 basic medicines.

How much more expensive are evenings and holidays?

It depends on the hospital: at most hospitals in the table the evening and late-night fees are higher than the daytime fee; the fee schedule of the 24/7 Urgent Care Clinic at Hong Kong Adventist Hospital – Stubbs Road lists only one fee, HK$1,200 per consultation.
